The name

Why Gentle King

Conquering kings came on warhorses. Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey (Zechariah 9:9, Matthew 21:5). He has all authority, and he will judge the living and the dead. Yet he says he is meek and lowly in heart, and newer Bibles render that word gentle.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
